A 101 List

This may or may not be the 101 list. It's possible that there are still a few impostors in there. Having done a fair bit of pruning, as previously described, I counted up the articles remaining, and found a nice neat total of 111. At this point it just seemed easier to knock off ten, and see what the result looked like.
It looks like this:
- Become a Mystery Worshipper
- read books by 26 authors whose work I've not read before, one for each letter of the alphabet
- go on a retreat
- update

- investigate my parish church, the Friends' Meeting, and one other Woking congregation
- see 5 films at the cinema
- run a BookCrossing challenge
- swim 500 lengths in one go
- seek recommendations for various items every day for a month
- write first draft of 'The Slowest Elopement' or another novel featuring Phyl
- write final draft of 'These Three Remain'
- make a funeral plan
- make an altered book
- sing four solos at church
- sing three solos at another public event (can include a recording for Tony's Advent calendar, but only one)
- fly in a hot air balloon
- go to the British grand prix, the Goodwood Revival, or another similarly iconic motoring event
- do project 365 (take a photograph every day for a year)
- keep track of my depression
- make wedding album/scrapbook
- fill in 1001 verses of the musical Bible project
- start another Wikipedia article
- play a significant part in getting a Wikipedia article to Good Article class
- collect 400 FitCash hours on Wii Fit
- walk pilgrimage to Canterbury (can be done in stages)
- compile a family lexicon/bank of family stories
- do a first aid course
- go to a jazz event
- make will
- walk Offa's Dyke or across England
- give up alcohol for a month
- write 30 longhand letters (not counting Christmas/birthday thank yous)
- squirrel-proof birdfeeders and birdboxes
- wild release 101 books, including one that is of sentimental value to me
- be able to pass Grade V music theory
- take singing lessons
- eat only local produce for one day
- eat only British produce for one week
- do three things to help others reach their 101
- join bone marrow donor registry
- get Bronze award from Blood Service
- learn about meteorology
- collect a set of photos of the Royal Arms through the ages, and be able to blazon and to date by heraldic features
- have really nice underwear
- pass driving test
- enter 5 competitions
- have my hair cut very short
- go one week without wearing black
- hold a murder mystery dinner
- try 10 new items from the Omnivore's 100
- go on a demo
- make washable sanitary pads
- record 101 dreams
- swim in the sea at least once per year
- listen to/watch 30 proms
- catch up on 80s/90s kids' TV
- cook two different recipes for each herb in my garden
- go on the London Eye
- complete a cryptic crossword
- make a perpetual birthday/anniversary book
- go to another country I've never visited
- play cello once a month
- obtain a decent shredder
- get something else published
- watch a meteor shower
- be able to identify twelve constellations
- do an Advent observance
- read three different translations of the same book of the Bible
- watch a whole season of any TV series (except Firefly or Futurama, of which I think I've seen the lot)
- go to three museums I've visited before and three I've not
- learn how to tie a bow tie
- have one of my photographs framed and on display
- make the following: platski, pierogi, piernicki, lebkuchen, churros, crumpets
- hold a dinner party; hold a picnic
- make three home-made Christmas presents per year
- eat at a restaurant 6 times, 2 being new restaurants
- have 5 different people to stay
- explore my square mile
- get evening watch fixed
- own: suit, little black dress, full-length evening dress
- use every kitchen appliance at least once
- have big 26th birthday gathering in Exeter
- write two 1000+ word stories for Yuletide
- see 1 grand opera, 1 light opera/operetta, 1 musical, 1 ballet, 3 Shakespeare plays, 1 other play
- take 5 good portraits. If appropriate, give prints to the subjects
- watch 10 pre-1960 films and 10 1960-present films that I've not seen
- take part in Buy Nothing Day
- buy a monocle
- publicise the Mooncup
- make a scrapbook of friends/family weddings
- investigate veg box providers in my area
- watch 101 TED talks
- explore Bradford and associated family history
- make ornaments for the three Christmas trees
- write 1001 words every day for a month
- take packed lunch to work every day for a month
- learn to juggle
- skip: 500 times forwards, 100 times backwards, 10 cross-skips
- fix up a device to siphon off bath water for use in the garden. Use this at least 10 times.
- make a finger labyrinth
- learn to play a song on the guitar
Then I counted it, and now I make it only 100. I'm not going to count it again tonight; I'm too tired. Is anything going to be reprieved? Stay tuned!
